Laura Bates most famously created The Everyday Sexism Project which invited women to share thier experiences of sexism online in order to document the systematic misogyny within society. Her new effort, Girl Up, encourages young women to embrace feminism and themselves.

Sara Pascoe is an Edinburgh Festival and panel show regular. An award winning comedian, her observations about life as a woman are touching and brutally honest. The Autobiography of a Female Body invesitgates the complicated nature of being a woman in this society and there are plenty of genuine belly laugh moments along the way.

The ones that you pretend to have read at parties
Published in 1928, Radclyffe Hall's seminal novel, The Well of Lonliness was considered scandalous by both the press and the courts. It follows the story of Stephen Gordon, a member of elite society and her love interest Mary. The novel was one of the first to explore sexuality and gender presentation against the backdrop of a strict society.

Oranges Are Not The Only Fruit is a semi autobiogrpahical coming of age tale about a young girl, growing up in a Pentecostal Christian family. The novel explores coming of age and family relationships as a young Jeanette devolops feelings for someone of the same sex.
